And the Beatle’s Bible:
An acoustic guitar lesson on how to play “Every Night” by Paul McCartney from the “McCartney” album released in 1970.
Other than “Maybe I’m Amazed”, and “Junk”, I’ve always thought that this was the best track on “McCartney.” Most of the tracks were recorded at his home using a Studer four track, read the articles above for all the details (very interesting stuff), but this song was recorded at Abbey Road studios on their eight track system. According to the article above, he booked the time at Abbey Road as “Billy Martin”, to avoid conflict with the other Beatles.
Live, he plays it a lot different than the record, it’s always a lot slower and never seems to get the same vibe. I think it’s a great record and part of that is those cool acoustic guitar fills that for me, give the song part of its magic.
I had a lot of fun working on the demo as it’s always been one of my favorite McCartney tracks.
I hope you find the lesson useful and I hope you have fun playing this great song.
I get a lot of questions about my gear. You can read about it on my website here:
Folks may be surprised at how much time and effort goes into creating these videos. If you’re getting something out of the lessons and can afford to contribute, I’ve setup a donation page on my website. If you can’t afford it no worries, but if you can, any amount is appreciated and will help me to continue to make the videos.
Thanks for all the comments, and questions and of course for subscribing. A special thanks to all of you that have contributed financially by making a donation! I really appreciate the support. Good luck to everyone with their guitar playing.
